This position works as a part of the reimbursement team. The duties include accounts receivable activities related to third party billing and collection, as well as client billing and aging. The position provides reimbursement related assistance and guidance to other reimbursement team members, office managers, and support staff.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepares, analyzes, and maintains billing and accounts receivable reports and data.
- Prepares weekly and monthly billings for third party insurances and contracts and follows up on any unbatched or rejected claims or services through electronic or manual process.
- Processes payments for clients and other third parties and follows up on any unpaid claims and/or denials and authorizations through electronic or manual processes.
- Prepares monthly client statements.
- Reviews past due accounts for non-payments, Bill Write Off (BWO), and Debt-set off action.
- Monitors accounts receivable aging reports and follows-up on related issues or concerns.
- Maintains reimbursement files and records.
- Performs routine activities of other reimbursement staff in their absence.
- Attends all required job-related meetings and training sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A combination of education, training, and experience which indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times
