This position is responsible for the facilitation of one of the prevocational (clerical, kitchen, environmental/maintenance, or business/community integration) units. The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Advocate partners with other advocates to carry out daily psychoeducational programming within the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program serving adults with serious mental illness. This position is responsible for creating individual service plans for a designated group of program members. Major duties may include service plan implementation; client advocacy; supportive counseling with clients in crisis, service documentation and reporting; and client social, recreational, and educational activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in a human services field.
- At least one year of related human services experience required.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) eligibility required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, good driving record and the ability to provide your own transportation as necessary to perform job duties.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time to travel in and out of the catchment area as needed.
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.
SALARY: Starting at $52,788
