Same Day Access (SDA) Supervisor (ID072)

The SDA Supervisor serves to provide oversight to clinical and operations of Same Day Access service line, works closely with a wide variety of staff across service lines, using a team approach to enhance psychiatric stability, quality of life, access to available resources, appropriate use of medical services and inpatient care.   Responsibilities include intakes, oversight of  new client intakes, court ordered intakes, detox intakes. Responsibilities include:  assessment, resource referral, crisis intervention and advocacy, professional and timely documentation of services, linkage to follow up provider appointments within 3-5 day timeline as target. This supervisor provides training and supervision to SDA team members to include Engagement Specialist, Administrative support, Intake Specialists and other license eligible staff who may provide back-up coverage as needed. This position will collect data, develop Policy and procedure, workflows in credible in order to facilitate SDA.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Assists the Director of Program Services in program development, recommendations and evaluation of Agency intake processes, including SDA, to comply with all applicable standards and regulations; Assists the Director of Program Services with the expansion of this program into other jurisdictions; maintains necessary licensure certifications/approvals for program operation.
  • Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision to up to 6 SDA team members which includes: providing training and in-service activities designed to maintain and enhance skill development; monitoring staff’s documentation of services provided; ensuring provision of effective and clinically sound services; maintaining a team of employees through effective supervision, performance evaluation and ongoing recruitment in coordination with the Director of Program Services.
  • Completes diagnostic intake, Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNAs), GAP assessments, develops service plans and provides effective treatment services to adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders regarding referrals hospitals, community or other settings based upon need.
  • Provides crisis intervention and ongoing direct treatment/individual therapy services based on client needs.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with all referral and collaborating agencies in the region.
  • Evaluates referrals for program eligibility and conducts service authorizations and re-authorizations for case management services. Consults with NWCS staff (i.e.: case managers) and other agency staff regarding youth who are appropriate to be referred and served within this program, complying with laws and standards, and makes appropriate staff aware of referral criteria as well as ongoing consultation regarding treatment.
  • Participate in orientation and training of new staff and annual evaluations, including field visits and clinical chart reviews.
  • Represents the agency in a professional and positive manner at relevant community meetings as designated and according to agency needs.
  • Participates in staff meetings, and other relevant clinical or administrative staffing in order to enhance agency planning and coordination activities.
  • Receives regular supervision with immediate supervisor as a means of enhancing professional growth, reviewing the provision of clinical services, and addressing administrative issues as required.
  • May maintain a small therapy caseload and complete all requirements of role, including all documentation related to provision of services.
  • May continue to complete new client intakes, SUD service intakes, GAP screenings, Detox Evaluations or any assessments as requested.
  • Participates in the screening of potential new hires, interviews and reference checks as needed.
  • Assist with new program development.
  • Participate in the Clinical Quality Committee, Peer Review Committee, Management meetings and other required meetings relevant to role.
  • Perform 6- month probationary reviews of new employees, complete Annual performance evaluations of employees.
  • Approve and track leave requests of employees, approve monthly time sheets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A combination of mental health work experience or relevant education, and training, which indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
  • Master’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in relevant human services field required.
  • LPC or LCSW eligibility required, license preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.;
  • May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases;
  • Must be able to drive for long periods of time to travel in and out of the catchment area as needed;
  • Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles;
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.

SALARY: $70,903 – $81,362
