This position is responsible for performing diagnostic assessments, developing service plans, and providing effective treatment services to youth with mental health disorders regarding referrals from Winchester Public Schools. Position completes intake assessments and makes appropriate referrals to Northwestern Community Services Board (NWCSB) staff or community collaterals.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the CYFS Supervisor in program development of Winchester Public Schools and NWCSB partnership.
- Completes diagnostic assessments, develops service plans, and provides effective treatment services to youth with mental health disorders regarding referrals from Winchester Public Schools.
- Provides crisis intervention and ongoing direct treatment/individual therapy services to youth and their families, based on client needs.
- Provides competent and ethical therapy with clients/families to assist clients/families in achieving stated goals and objectives and meeting productivity protocol for therapy.
- Develops effective relationships with Winchester Public Schools and other youth-serving and referral agencies.
- Evaluates referrals for program eligibility and conducts service authorizations and re-authorizations for therapy and case management services. Consults with NWCSB staff and other Agency staff regarding youth who are appropriate to be referred and served within this program, complying with laws and standards, and makes appropriate staff aware of referral criteria as well as ongoing consultation regarding treatment.
- Assists in the accurate diagnosing and treatment planning of clients served in order to maintain optimum utilization of staff resources and a high quality of client care for clients referred to NWCSB by Winchester Public Schools.
- Demonstrates appropriate and complete documentation of treatment to include, but not limited to, diagnostic summaries, treatment plans and reviews, progress notes, correspondence, and releases of information, in compliance with Agency standards and Department of Medical Assistance (DMAS) regulations.
- Represents the Agency in a professional and positive manner at relevant community meetings as designated and according to Agency needs.
- Participates in regular clinic staff meetings; accepts assigned cases; and assists in accurate diagnosing, treatment planning, and treatment of clients served.
- Receives regular supervision with immediate supervisor as a means of enhancing professional growth, reviewing the provision of clinical services, and addressing administrative issues as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A combination of mental health work experience or relevant education, and training indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required.
- Master’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in relevant human services field required.
- Experience working with youth and their families in a clinical setting required.
- Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) eligibility required, license preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License, good driving record, and the ability to provide your own transportation.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be exposed to allergenic environments in client’s homes, including extreme heat, humidity, dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc.
- May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases.
- Must be able to drive for long periods of time to visit clients in and out of the catchment area as needed.
- Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.
SALARY: $61,789 – $78,611
